Each year, the traditional Christmas markets in Luxembourg City turn the Place d'Armes, the Place de la Constitution and the Place de Paris in a real Christmas village.
For a month, the main square of the capital is covered with small wooden huts, selling candles, toys, decorations, sweets, as well as typical drinks such as Glühwäin (mulled wine) and typical foods like the Grillwurscht (grilled sausage), Mettwurscht (Luxembourgish sausages) or Gromperekichelcher (potato pancakes).
From 22 November 2018 to 6 January 2019, "Knuedler on Ice" returns to Place Guillaume II in front of City Hall. Get your skates on (or rent some) for a fantastic time at this 800 m² ice skating rink – half of which is covered under a marquee – right in the city centre.
The rink has an open spectator area, as well as a heated area with a food court selling hot beverages and a range of culinary specialities. Access is possible via ramp for people with reduced mobility.Start organising my event at this period of time
